Shamrock Shake – Healthified!
I used to get so excited every year when March arrived and it was time to go to McDonalds for my Shamrock Shake. I always ordered the big one as my eyes were bigger then my belly… and proceeded to get a belly ache before I was finished.
Recently I experimented with my shake recipe and came up with my own Shamrock Shake… that tastes delicious, doesn’t give my a belly ache AND gives me my daily dose of dense nutrition. It is only once a year you say… but it is only once a year for SOOOO… MANY…. TREATS! and they add up to being A LOT!!!
My Simple recipe is:
one scoop of vanilla Shakeology, a handful of spinach, 1/2 banana, 1 tsp almond butter, 1 cup of almond milk, 1/2 tsp peppermint extract, 4 drops of liquid stevia (optional).
